I am so excited to share that we have chosen our 10th and final recipient of the PepsiCo Women’s Inspiration Award!
As some of you may recall, during SXSWi at the PepsiCo WIN Digitini event we awarded nine movers-and-shakers in the digital and technology industry with the PepsiCo Women’s Inspiration Award in the presence of more than 150 SxSWi guests. We also announced a call for entries to receive the 10th winner of the PepsiCo Women’s Inspiration Award.
Now, I am pleased to announce that Dr. Sue Black is the recipient of the 10th PepsiCo WIN Award. Dr. Black hails from the UK where she is a leading English computer scientist and a Senior Research Associate at University College London, England. Black has been very instrumental in championing the saving of Bletchley Park, an historical site where code breakers worked during World War II to decode messages that the German forces transmitted, most notably by Hitler to the German high command which helped shorten the and saved millions of lives.
Fun Fact: Bletchley Park is also known as the birthplace of the first programmable, digital computer which was invented during the war and Black has been instrumental in the success and public awareness of this historical site.
I couldn’t be happier to announce Dr. Black as our winner as I am so inspired by her continued efforts to champion more support for women in tech as well as her dedicated work to save the histrorical Bletchley Park. Black stands with great company including Sarah Haines of the “Today Show,” Erica Andersaon, aka Erica America and Sarah Holoubek from Luminary Labs.
Congratulations, Dr. Sue Black!
